Swamiji stressed the need for science education and scientific temper in India, based on its ancient spirit.

Also, William James, the father of American Psychology, German scientist Herman von Helmholtz and Indian scientist J.C. Bose the father of 5g, considered Vivekananda as their guide. This happened because Swamiji believed in pursuing truth, whatever the mode. He taught the modern world about our Vedas in the same way. Through his disciples traveling in Indian villages armed with a globe and a lantern, Swami Vivekananda taught modern science to India. This Balance makes him a YOUTH ICON. He knew that the future world could not rely on only modern science or ancient wisdom. Science and spirituality are not meant to compete; they are meant to complement each other. We wish today’s religious leaders were as open-minded.

The tragedy is that while the West is curious about our culture, our people are running away from our culture and roots. See, I don’t mean to say that our culture and history are superior to that of others or that they are 100% perfect. Not at all. But one thing is for sure! Science is admitting what we don’t know.  Swami Vivekananda has seen the impact that our knowledge could have if it spreads throughout the world, and bringing this knowledge to you makes a difference to me!
